Due to the fact YouTube, the popular free video sharing website, has been broadcasting material critical of the country's king, the government from Thailand decided to ban access to the website.
The material in question is a 44 seconds movie which shows the king's face with graffiti on it.
Google had been asked to remove the movie, but the negative answer from them lead to the ban, declared the communication minister of Thailand, Sitthichai Pookaiyaudom. However, the minister stated that the access will be reinstated as soon as the movie will have been deleted.
Thailand is the second country, after
Iran, to block YouTube.
