Intel's next mobile chipset, which was dubbed Centrino Pro when they announced it last year, is expected to launch May 8th. Along with the chipset itself, we expect to see coinciding Centrino Pro-based product launches on that date as well.
The forthcoming processor promises to deliver a number of improvements over the current Napa platform. These improvements include support for second-gen Intel Core 2 Duo processors, the Intel Mobile 965 Express chipset (code-named Crestline) with Intel's GMA X3000 graphics technology, Intel PRO/Wireless 4965AGN IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n mini-PCIe Wi-Fi adapter (code-named Kedron), NAND flash-memory caching (code-named Robson), Intel Dynamic Acceleration (IDA) for better Windows Vista Aero support.
However, the most awaited feature is the built-in HSDPA radio, which will let you get your Internet fix from pretty much anywhere, but this improvement isn't certain yet.
