Making the long story short, Samsung has announced that they will begin selling a monitor with a LED backlight. The company claims it will produce better visibility than ambient light.
The 24-inch monitor will be lit by LEDs, which will create far better color saturation, and inkier blacks.
The saturation level is 111% of the NTSC standard and will support Samsung's S-PVA (Super Patterned-ITO Vertical Alignment) technology which will allow for 180-degree viewing and a 1900 x 1200 resolution.
At the moment no pricing or availability is known.
