LG seems determined to repeat the success of its "
Chocolate" branding beyond its mobile phones, extending it to home theaters and other equipment. The latest object of this confection affection is the Z1 laptop.
Features as follows:Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5600 (1.83GHz, 2MB L2 Cache), 12.1-inch WXGA (1280×800) display, ATI Mobility TM Radeon X1350 (up to 512MB), 120GB HDD, WiFi, Bluetooth (BlueCore4), and a 5-in-1 card slot for XD/SD/MMC/MS/MS Pro cards. Audio goodies - SRS WOW HD, SRS TruSurround XT, 5.1ch Dolby Digital, 24bit High Definition. Very nice.
But it's not the specs that are going to sell this computer. Instead, it is the black piano finish and the unique touch-sensitive buttons that the company ported over from the cell phone.
Although there is very little else known about this laptop, by the looks of things, these computers may be giving Apple a run for their money in terms of design.
It's currently only available in Asia for about
2,000 USD.
