We all use Yahoo! Messenger, but it comes packed up with very annoying ads that are displayed in the main messenger window, the chat window and the webcam window..
This bat file only works with the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger. You can get the latest version from
here.The good:You can get rid of these ads in
three simple steps:
1. Close Yahoo Messenger.
2. Save this .bat file
3. ... and execute it.
The bad:
* You can't enter chatrooms anymore. So, if you are a chatroom addict don't execute the bat file.
The batch file will edit the registry to remove the ads. If you reinstall or upgrade Yahoo! Messenger then you will need to run the batch file again.

Ok, so this is a year later, but I tried your file. It works! I've got yahoo ver. 8.1.0.421, and nothing else I've found worked for this. Thanks!!
