The triple-threat
Genius Navigator 380, is a combination
VOIP phone, instant-messaging device, and a 1200dpi optical mouse all wrapped into a clamshell. For travelers always on the go, this compact device packs in all the functions without giving you the extra baggage.
While being used as a mouse, the closed clamshell handset can still ring or its LED will blink when someone is trying to reach you. It supports up to six instant messengers simultaneously in one window.
Seven buttons in Navigator 380 are for the phone functions --- Phone on/off, List up/down, Volume up/down and OK for call up the IM window.
But if you've got more than one mouse lying around, don't forget which one is the phone; it could be embarrassing trying to answer the wrong one.
From the looks of it,
Genius is going to be making the device available in India first (for about $40), although we wouldn't bet against it showing up elsewhere.
